At Lutheran Church of Our Savior Pre-School we believe our mission includes assisting parents in the development of their children. Our dedicated and committed Teachers ably provide guidance with numerous opportunities for the growth and development of each child. Our school offers young children a setting in which to grow, to learn, and to develop spiritually, physically, intellectually and socially. It also offers children one of the best opportunities for achieving the goals of success through education outside of the home.
Lutheran Church of Our Savior Pre-School in San Francisco has been providing pre-school opportunities to the surrounding communities for over 25 years. LCOS is a non-profit, Christian pre-school open to all children who are at least 2 years and 9 months old and have started the toilet training process.
Lutheran Church of Our Savior Pre-School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its education policies, or admission policies.
We offer a dynamic education wiith an emphasis on curriculum (especially art and early childhood literacy), and program development in order to prepare our students to be successful as they begin their journey toward higher education. Our Pre-School teachers are state certified. They are also certified by the American Red Cross to perform infant and toddler CPR and first aid. We are a fully licensed Child Care Center with a Year-Round Curriculum.
Our Pre-School is ethnically diverse and we offer English as a second language instruction. We offern basic Spanish classes and Movement through Music Class for all of our students. We serve a Ethnically diverse population of students in our Kindergarten Readiness Class, we boast a 1:8 staff to student ratio, a year-round curriculum is project based using Creative Curriculum, potty training assistance and we offer ESL instruction. We offer a year-round curriculum which includes Kindergarten readiness skill-building with a focus on Christian values, as well as cognitive,physical, and social development.
Our Pre-School is in excellent proximity to San Francisco State University and City College and there is easy access to our school for those using public transportation.
